About San Cayetano Temple
Built between 1775 and 1788 thanks to the bonanza of the La Valenciana mine, this temple was the product of the contributions of the owners and alms of the faithful. On top of a hill that dominates the city of Guanajuato, the churrigueresque style temple was built in pink quarry. In the interior you can also admire its three altarpieces, the sacristy, the baptismal font of the 19th century and the organ recently restored.
