About The Santa Prisca Parish Church
Thanks to its rapid construction (between 1751 and 1758) the church has a fairly homogeneous style and a balance in forms, resulting in a great example of Mexican Baroque. It is interesting to know that until 1806 it was the tallest building in Mexico. Inside you will find nine altarpieces covered with gold leaf and the main altarpiece is dedicated to the Purísima Concepción. It is also worthwhile to admire its choir with its impressive organ.
