About The Polvorin Museum

The inspiration for its name is to be built in the late eighteenth century as a strong and powder magazine of the Spanish. After independence was abandoned until the early twentieth century, when it rescues to operate as a school, hospital blood then, gatehouse and warehouse, and finally become a museum in 1977.
