About Cumbres del Ajusco National Park

Its name comes from the Nahuatl Axochco which means Water Forest and it is a protected natural area that supplies clean air to the inhabitants of the capital. This National Park is ideal to connect with nature within the city.

It has 920 hectares of vegetation, predominantly pine, fir and subalpine grass forests, where different species of animals live, such as rabbits, opossums, shrews, coyotes, weasels, skunks and wild cats, among others.

It is an ideal place for hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking or motocross; in addition to caving and trekking in the Xitle volcano.

To share with family or friends you can play gotcha, paintball, rent an ATV or go through the labyrinth formed by two-meter-high bushes. Or simply go to eat delicious in some of the establishments of the place.
