About Basilica of Our Lady of Talpa
Also known as the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Rosario, its construction dates back to 1782 and it is the main tourist attraction of Talpa since thousands of pilgrims come to it mainly in these great religious festivals: on February 2, when the Day is celebrated Candelaria; from March 11 to 19, during the novena to Señor San José; at Easter and on May 12, during the coronation of the Lady of the Rosary. However, on October 7, the date on which the feast of the Virgin of the Rosary is celebrated, it was reserved for the people, as on September 10, when the traditional Bath of the Virgin is celebrated.
