About National Museum of the Copper
As you may well suppose, this town has a rich goldsmith tradition that dates back even before the conquest and that with the arrival of Don Vasco de Quiroga it took root even more and ancient techniques are still used. This museum will take you by the hand as it tells you the history of this rich tradition from the first manifestations of the Purépecha artisans. You can even admire live how they continue working this valuable metal.
