About Yal-ku Lagoon
This lagoon is the mouth of an underground river that mixes with the sea, for that reason its water is brackish (a mixture of fresh water with salad). If you are a snorkel lover, this place will enchant you, as it is famous for its crystal clear waters, great diversity of underwater flora and variety of multicolored fish such as golden vaquitas, parrot fish, blue barber fish, crossbow fish, hedgehogs, stars Marines, damsels and sergeants. It is located 3 km from the center of Akumal. The site has parking, showers, ecological baths and a small restaurant.
