This museum exhibits archaeological pieces of the oldest cultures of Mesoamerica, the Olmec. Here is an outstanding piece, the Lord of Matacapan, sculpture was found in the community of the same name. It was rebuilt by the INAH and today is exhibited in the main hall of the museum.
