La Docena is the place of Guadalajara fashion; the young chef Tomás Bermúdez is at the forefront. The bar is one of the best in the city. 'Dozen' refers to oysters, brought from the Pacific coast. The kitchen, whose concept is somewhere between New Orleans and Baja California, offers simple grilled food, oysters on the grill, are a specialty of the house. But there are also hamburgers and po'boys (a type of sandwich salseado from Louisiana). The atmosphere is fresh and relaxed.
