About The Edward James Sculpture Garden, Las Pozas

The Englishman Edward James lived on the inherited fortune of his family to be the only male of the family and settled in Xilitla in 1944 where he began to plant orchids and collect exotic animals.

With a strong interest in surrealism, he began to build sculptures with Gothic and Egyptian influence. A wonder in the middle of the jungle, you will see stairs that do not reach anywhere, castles, houses and columns all unfinished.Edward
