About Rosario Chapel
John Paul II named it The Reliquary of America to see her on her first visit to Mexico in 1979. It is an architectural treasure that is within the Temple of Santo Domingo, which at one time was part of the Dominican Convent.
The piece is primarily impacting the image of the Virgen del Rosario, surrounded by angels, saints and martyrs; and it has details in onyx, gilded plasterwork, paintings and tiles.
