About Archaeological Zone of Chiapa de Corzo

Known as Socton Nandalumi, which means "water that runs below the hill", it is one of the oldest human settlements in the region. Opening to public visits in 2009, you can visit the mounds 1, 5 and 7 through walkways that will facilitate the tour. The first is a pyramidal structure remains at the top of the walls of a temple. The mound 5 seems to have had residential functions.
