About Central Alameda (Main Square)
It is the oldest promenade in Mexico City and was named after its original poplars, now replaced by willows and ash trees. With the aim of enhancing the beauty of the city and having a space dedicated exclusively to the walk, its arrangement was improved with sculptures, fountains and monuments. After a long remodeling, towards the end of 2012 it was reopened so that once again you can enjoy walking.
