University of Guanajuato
It is one of the oldest in Latin America, which first opened in the eighteenth century as a Jesuit school. It is built in a green stone neoclassical main building to which you ascend a staircase of 113 steps. It currently houses the rectory and administrative offices, as well as a church and museum of natural history. At this University is credited with creating the Cervantes Festiva.
