About Ex Convento de San Juan Bautista

Construction dating from the year 1541, it is one of the large complexes that resemble a fortress. On its façade it has Gothic and Renaissance features and in the atrium it houses four posed chapels, also highlighting the Gothic rose window that adorns the entrance, which is an emblem that distinguishes convents in the state of Morelos. Something that catches the eye is the Gothic pulpit carved in quarry and its ribs on the ceiling, as well as the beautiful wall paintings of the cloister. This convent is one of the fourteen located in Morelos declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
