Chairel Lagoon
In the heart of Tampico, this lagoon has a wide variety of flora and fauna, including the Mexican crocodile and migratory birds such as ducks and garzaflamencos. There are several legends related to the name, some say a carpenter killed himself being rejected by the woman he loved, another that there was always a woodpecker and so there are many more.
Stroll through your walker or get on a boat, but avoid the crocodiles swim.
